Albert Lam (he/him)

Albert is a seasoned product professional having built novel products in several industries including consumer lighting, telecommunications, insurance, commercial real estate and developer tooling. This cross-industry experience has allowed him to consistently deliver successful products in any environment. In his current role at RBC Borealis, a globally top 3 financial institution in AI, he is focussing his efforts on developing in-house AI solutions for personal banking at RBC Borealis with a team machine learning researchers and engineers.

Albert was a former volunteer and President of Start Proud, a Canadian non-profit, for 6 years. Albert’s efforts to grow the non-profit was recognized by Canadian Business magazine as a ‘2017 Change Agent’ and received a 2018 Inspire Award for 'Innovator of the Year’.

Albert holds a Bachelor in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
