Amy Buckland (she/her)

University Librarian, Concordia University

Amy is the University Librarian at Concordia University. She has spent her entire library career working to advance open science and access to information, at universities in Canada and the US, as well as a brief stint in the federal government. She has been involved in large scale digitisation initiatives with the Internet Archive, developed library-based publishing programmes, built repository systems to support research computing, led discussions around data governance at the national level, and drafted more pilot projects than she cares to remember. Prior to joining libraries, Amy worked in publishing for many years, beginning in 1995 in the newsroom of the Montreal Gazette.
