Haris Amiri is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Ground News, a platform that empowers users to compare news sources, identify media bias, and navigate beyond algorithms. Holding a BSc. in Physics from the University of British Columbia, Haris has a diverse background spanning education, quantum computing, web development, and software engineering. At Ground News, he collaborates with a team of ML and Data Engineers to leverage the power of Large Language Models and Machine Learning, focusing on enhancing the news-reading experience and leading the design and implementation of factuality guardrails.
