David has been a successful venture capitalist, angel investor, and startup executive for over twenty years (Desjardins Capital, Bandcamp, Panache Ventures, Pref). He is currently working on launching CMD Capital, a VC firm that will lead seed rounds in startups using AI in non-trivial ways to solve industry problems. He has also been a long-time mentor and advisor to many startups, both directly and via different accelerator programs. David lives in Montreal and spends too much time coaching his daughters' soccer teams.
