Beatrice joined the Teralys Capital team in 2022 as Principal. She brings with her over 15 years of management and strategy experience with technology companies. A lawyer by training, Beatrice began her career with Borden Ladner Gervais, where she practiced in the field of banking financing. This experience allowed her to develop her negotiation skills and lead wide-ranging multi-jurisdictional financing transactions. Throughout her career, Beatrice has worked with entrepreneurs and early-stage tech companies in a variety of roles. Namely, she sold and implemented the BIXI system in several Canadian cities, founded and managed InnoCite MTL, the first accelerator for smart city solutions startups in Canada. She also co-chaired a consortium of large companies for the realization of cybersecurity projects. In addition, over the past 3 years, Beatrice has acquired a solid experience in governance by sitting on the board of directors of Desjardins General Insurance Group. Beatrice stands out for her in-depth knowledge of the Canadian technology entrepreneurial ecosystem, her strategic thinking and her collaborative spirit which she puts at work for the success of our partner funds.
