Benoit M Leroux (He/him)

Vice-president, Fund Investments, Investissement Québec

Benoit Leroux joined Investissement Québec in December 2013 and helds today the position of Vice president, Fund Investments. In that role, he is responsible for the team in charge of investing in investment funds on behalf of Investissement Québec and the Québec government. To date, with his team’s support, he has negotiated the creation of several investment funds for a range of industries and businesses at various stages of development and has served as lead investor for many of them. Since July 2019, he has also held the post of Chair of the Board of Directors of FIER Partenaires and the Fonds de transfert d’entreprise du Québec, as well as Vice-President of the Board of the subsidiary IQ FIER Inc.

A member of several advisory committees and boards of directors, Mr. Leroux contributes to Québec’s economic development and works with financial stakeholders to grow the province’s investment capital ecosystem. Previously, Mr. Leroux worked as a notary at Montréal-area firms and in a self-employed capacity. He is still a member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

Mr. Leroux holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a graduate degree in notarial law from Université de Sherbrooke. In addition, he has a specialized graduate studies diploma in management from HEC Montréal.
