Jade holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), where she and her cofounders started Puzzle Medical. While studying at ÉTS, Jade was also elected as Program President and involved as ambassador (student leadership) for 3 years, and she was project coordinator and teacher for the University Discovery Project for 2 years. Puzzle Medical’s team was selected by the internationally renowned technology incubator, Centech. Through Centech’s two-year MedTech Program, Jade was coached by several successful serial entrepreneurs and CEOs. Jade was also trained by the Life Sciences Entrepreneurship Development Program at John Molson School of Business. At Puzzle, Jade has raised over CAN$45M through Seed and Series A financings led by Cordis-X, a Cardiovascular-Focused Investment Vehicle Backed by Ajax Health, Hellman &Friedman, and KKR; built a strong and growing team; established Technical, Clinical & Business Advisory Boards with renowned key opinion leaders; established and negotiated strong and lasting partnerships; established and ensured analysis of milestones, timelines and costs; participated in the regulatory submission and discussion with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration towards approval of Breakthrough Device Designation (granted); and gained great visibility for Puzzle Medical through numerous different channels and prizes.
